Mothers of Change is starting local chapters across Canada!
The purpose of the local chapters is to:
- provide peer emotional support for women and families, prenatally and postpartum
- spread awareness of Mothers of Change as a Canadian organization representing the voices of women and families about maternity care
- engage local practitioners and health care authorities in dialogue and accountability regarding maternity care
- organize local fundraisers to support the work of Mothers of Change and spread further awareness
The local chapters meet at least once a month, and provide peer education and support for pregnant and new moms and families. It’s a great way to get to know other moms and to support each other during the often challenging transition into parenting for the first time or parenting an additional child.
