Boycott Nestle Week

by melissa v. on October 27, 2010

This week, October 25th to 31st, is Boycott Nestle Week. Nestle is one of the biggest violators of the WHO Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes worldwide.
Melodie at Breastfeeding Moms Unite has put together a comprehensive post on this topic, including links to other articles that address the Boycott Nestle Week. If you would like to know more, click on the links provided! Lauren at Hobo Mama also wrote a good post on saying “Boo” to Nestle this week. Baby Milk Action talks about protecting babies who are breastfed AND babies who are formula fed, and holding the artificial milk manufacturers accountable for their unhealthy practices.
There is also a site devoted to the Nestle Boycott, called BooNestle, which has lists of Nestle products and reasons why Halloween is a great time of year to participate in the Boycott.
Consider joining us as we spread the word regarding advocating for ethical marketing and production practices for infant formula companies!
