Flu Season

by melissa v. on November 16, 2011

November marks the official march towards winter in Canada, and an inevitable flu season.  Public health campaigns state the importance of vaccinating against influenza, particularly for at risk groups.  Pregnant women often feel conflicted about getting this vaccine because of the possible risks to their developing fetus.  Science and Sensibility has a comprehensive post on this topic, with links to further research on this topic.  Making informed decisions about health care choices is very important, and never more so than when a woman is pregnant.  Happy reading!  And happy flu season!
